The Glades shopping Centre

Bromley.

Bromley has something for everyone, whether you prefer shopping or swimming, reading or rambling, comedy or conservation. It has more than 35 square miles of protected countryside, woodland and parks to explore so it's easy to forget that London's West End is less than 12 miles away from Bromley Town Centre. London's largest borough is full of contrasts, from the bustling High Streets to tranquil rural villages with plentiful quality restaurants and pubs. It has excellent shopping centres (you need never visit Blue Water!) and specialist markets, the Churchill Theatre and Bromley holds the largest Classic Car show every year in Normans Park!

It is famous for its horticulture and thousands of bulbs and trees are planted every year to ensure a "green" feel to the Borough. There is a wealth of woodland, nature trails, commons and open spaces which can provide peace and tranquillity for those wishing to get away from it all.

Those of you who prefer more active pursuits are catered for with a wide choice of top class sports and leisure facilities and many golf courses. The historical attractions of Charles Darwin's home, Down House and Churchill's home, Chartwell are within easy reach, as is Greenwich with it's history and colourful market. Crystal Palace - with its famous dinosaurs and sports arena also offers much to be explored.
